Gomesa recurva 08-12-16 058
This orchid has done pretty good so far. I've had it for around a year and so far its taken temperatures down to 33 degrees. It handles quite a bit of direct morning sun...almost until noon. It's mounted on the remains of my temporary shade shelter and I placed a decent size ball of green moss between the orchid and the mount.
Dendrobium nobile 462 09-02-10 042
A common Dendrobium nobile hybrid. So far these orchids have grown great outdoors year around. They can also take a surprising amount of sun. This one is mounted on the remains of my temporary shade shelter. It was mounted upside down for greater stability.
